R&D Device Characterization Engineer

As engineers in the parametric test and device characterization group at Micron Technology, Inc., we support technology development by developing, deploying, and reporting results from electrical device characterization on groundbreaking memory and storage solutions! In addition, you will be working with typical CMOS and interconnect, while having the opportunity to characterize new novel devices. In this role you will partner with engineering teams from process integration, process development, design, product, and quality & reliability.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • You will work closely with multiple subject areas and teams
  • Strong background in state physics, semiconductor processing and characterization
  • You have a deep understanding of device operation in memory systems including NAND, DRAM, PCM, storage class, and cross-point memories
  • You have the passion to succeed and ability to independently learn innovative memory systems
  • Highly motivated with strong data analytical skills and experience in automating data analysis methods
  • Self-motivated and hardworking to find creative solutions to challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written

 

Experience in the operation and automation of semiconductor instrumentation including, but not totally limited to:

  • Parameter analyzers, SPA, SMU
  • LCR meters
  • Network analyzers
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Pulse & waveform generators
  • Wafer probers
  • ATE and bench systems

 

Knowledgeable in a variety of software tools and operating systems, including but not limited to:

  • Python/Pandas/PyQt
  • C/C++
  • Unix/Linux
  • Perl
  • SQL
  • JMP/JSL

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MS/PhD or BS plus 5 years significant experience in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
