As a Product Development Engineer for SpecTek, a division of Micron Technology, Inc., you are responsible for developing test programs and protocols for memory product (DRAM, LOW POWER DRAM, NAND FLASH). You will also work with all facets of the products from development to completion, ensuring that they work properly for end users.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Plan and develop test programs for Micron products; use existing programs or perform complete development in-house
  • Conduct tests; gather and analyze data; document results and tests using feedback from performance in the intended application to tune the testing methodology
  • Monitor product performance on the test floor, and maintain the program for yield improvements/enhancements, test time reduction, new capabilities, and manufacturing process changes
  • Document and provide feedback of test results to key partners
  • Standardize methods and processes across areas, departments, and sites
  • Apply proven standards throughout the code development cycle that promote the reliability, maintainability, and portability of the code
  • Maintain knowledge of current testing platforms
  • Perform and/or assist with cost analysis to increase the efficiency of the testing process as well as to improve reliability and drive cost reduction
  • Monitor/evaluate yields to ensure delivery of quality products
  • Ensure all test programs, scripts, or any other software are tested and debugged prior to a production release

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Electrical/Software Engineering or equivalent
  • Demonstrate proficiency at speaking and writing the English language
  • Proficient in C and C++ program languages
  • Able to write test vectors using an algorithmic pattern generator
  • Possess working knowledge of UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating environments
  • Possess working knowledge of ASX/U-51 Hybrid controller, Python and/or Perl
  • Possess electronic and electric circuit knowledge of digital systems and electronic logic; transistor operation; analog circuit technology
  • Possess working knowledge of data analysis tools
  • Possess working knowledge of Oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
  • Willing to travel
