Process Control Systems Manager - Fault Detection

As a Technology Development Process Control Systems (PCS) leader, you will be responsible for systems management and control solutions integration in a fast paced environment of new technology and tool development.  In particular, leveraging software and analytics to capture equipment related sensor data, acoustics, imaging, and trace indicators of equipment performance, anomalies, and variation that contributes to improving the Fab operations and process/tool characterization work.  These responsibilities enable technology deliverables and cadence to be a global leader in memory and storage solutions.

 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 

Leadership and Innovation:

  • Setting tactical and strategic vision for the team to bring innovation into the PCS technologies and how they are applied to technology development
  • Personnel and performance management and mentoring to ensure team members know where they are meeting expectations and goals as well as where they can improve development or performance
  • Provide a work environment that empowers employees to creatively improve their work environment, instills a sense of ownership in Micron, and supports a team effort
  • Ensure all required safety training is complete and all work is conducted in a safe manner
  • Create the environment to foster and instill Benchmark Culture consistent with Micron Behaviors
  • Provide knowledge, resources & training (tools, systems, human resources, etc.) in order to enable our team members to be successful in meeting the technical aspects of their job. Ensure challenges/barriers to drive goals are always clearly identified, prioritized, and have solid action plans to address them
  • External communication to customer and peer groups to ensure we are keeping them apprised of activity, leveraging each other’s resources, and minimizing duplication of effort
  • Manage and coordinate resources, metrics, and systems to facilitate the achievement of Technology Development goals

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience; have excellent supervisory and organizational skills with the ability to provide direction for the entire PCS Group
  • You must be known as a results-oriented individual who obtains results through individual contributions and coordinating successful teams; be an individual who is dedicated to understanding and meeting customer needs and team goals; and be known as an individual with high standards of personal integrity
  • You should have the proven ability to solicit feedback, accept input, and analyze success and failure in order to improve personal and team effectiveness
  • Demonstrated strengths in "team building" with a strong focus on effective team dynamics and distributed responsibility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving, analytical skills, reporting, and effectively present highly technical data 
  • Proven ability to make sound, data-driven decisions 
  • Proven ability to communicate and present effectively 
  • Advanced understanding of SPC principles 
  • Advanced understanding of the baseline process flows 
  • Ability to prioritize yield, performance, and reliability issues 
  • Ability to analyze experimental data
  • Proven ability to drive complex projects to completion 
  • Demonstrated ability to partner successfully with other groups and build strong peer relationships


Education and Experience:  

  • BS in an engineering related field or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of fab engineering experience
  • 2 or more years experience in a supervisory position
