As a Software focused Non-Volatile Engineering (NVE) Product Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying system, software applications, and tools to support data analysis and documentation over the lifecycle of Micron’s non-volatile devices. In this role, you will work with various Engineering and Manufacturing groups to develop system solutions for application interfaces, data processing, storage, and graphical displays. NVE Product Engineers are the key interface between Research and Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Define requirements based upon customer requests
- Define and implement system/software improvements
- Design, develop, document, and test applications
- Implement continual software improvements
- Train users on the use and maintenance of new and existing applications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience developing scripts and tools to retrieve information from data files, csv files, Excel files, etc.
- Experience developing with object oriented programming (Java, C++, Python, C#t)
- Thorough knowledge of interpreted programming languages, Python and Perl desired
- Working knowledge of database design, management, and utilization (e.g. structured and unstructured databases)
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic team member
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good multitasking and organizational skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Desirable Skills:
- Basic understanding of CMOS manufacturing
- Verilog simulation
- NAND flash memory
- Linux experience
- Software testing methodologies and debugging tools
- Statistical analysis concepts
- High performance computing concepts
- SQL
- Hadoop
Education Required:
Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent is required.
