As the Senior Director for NAND Pathfinding in the Technology Development department, you are responsible for defining and enabling the future NAND product roadmap. You will lead a cross functional team comprised of CMOS development, design rules ownership, generator code development, and pathfinding process integration. Additionally, you will need to understand the critical competitive landscape to assess key enablers for future NAND technology nodes to ensure benchmark performance and cost competitiveness.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide differentiated solutions, competitively position our technology nodes and meet our financial goals while delivering benchmark performance.
  • Assess current technology and packaging capabilities, determine future needs, investigate and identify gaps in capability and work with our Process Development, Technology Development teams, external research partners, and equipment and materials suppliers to investigate and validate solutions.
  • Partner with our NAND Architecture and NAND Cell teams to define key architecture parameters required to model, design, simulate, build, and validate future node technology using testable chips and structure development vehicles.
  • Measure and communicate plans and progress to team members, partners, leaders and executives on key milestones.
  • Mentor, develop, and motivate leaders and individual contributors
  • Maintain efficient and effective allocation of resources to ensure efficient performance of the team.
  • Maintain area procedures and training required to ensure legal compliance and conformance to management system.
  • Define the vision for the team and then rally them around it. Assess and bring in critical talent as required.
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, and be a champion for Micron’s Culture, Values and Performance initiatives.
  • Provide accurate feedback to your reports, peers, leaders, and executives.
  • Represent the company in college recruiting, external engagements such as conferences or at research institutes, Universities, community events, and volunteering events.
  • Lead, hire, motivate and retain a global team of highly skilled and experienced group of Engineers and Scientists.

 

Professional qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a variety of semiconductor technology roles including device physics, device design, material science, process development, process integration, production ramp.
  • Extensive experience in 3D NAND and/or planar NAND. Broad experience in both floating gate and charge trap flash is helpful.
  • Experience setting technical roadmaps and leading process integration activities for leading-edge NAND generations.
  • Experience leading technical teams of at least 20 people.
  • Record of delivering technical milestones timely and on-budget.

 

Key Proficiencies:

  • Solid understanding of Semiconductor Device Physics, Semiconductor Materials, Semiconductor Memory Process Integration, Semiconductor Manufacturing.
  • Fundamental understanding of CMOS development, Design Rules, and Generator Coding.
  • Ability to communicate to broad teams, including executives, technologists, engineers, and operations.
  • Exhibit strong leadership experience, proven Innovation and the ability to work cross functionally, influence inside and outside the organization, be comfortable pace and pressure.
  • Lead, recognize, and contribute to innovation required to advance our NAND products and contribute to Intellectual Property development and protection on our NAND technology.

 

Education

  • MS and / or PhD in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Chemical, or Materials Science Engineering.
