Module Development Lab Engineer

As Module Development Lab Engineers for Micron Technology, Inc., we partner directly with Module Design Teams to deliver outstanding and innovative best-in-class products to the market! We measure, study, and quantify module design and integrated circuit (IC) component performance on design and test platforms. In this position you will be required to build and/or modify test software and hardware in order to verify designs, identify and resolve design weaknesses, and to perform competitor analysis and benchmarking.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Evaluate signal integrity of memory modules using computer systems, evaluation platforms, and Oscilloscopes
  • Provide timely feedback and debug on initial circuit designs
  • Conduct failure analysis on board level designs, computer systems, and evaluation/test platforms
  • Partner with Simulation Engineers to develop methods for correlating measurement to initial design simulations
  • Provide hardware design input, including IC characterization, and component selection
  • Develop test methodology to measure, characterize, evaluate, and quantify IC component/module performance on computer systems and module testers
  • Provide feedback, insight, and build reports for continuous improvement of processes and procedures
  • Assist in development and modification of software to enable meticulous performance testing
  • Provide schematic, printed circuit board layout knowledge, and design for developing verification lab hardware
  • Closely partner with component vendors to review verification plans and verification reports
  • Attend module design reviews and provide guidance and feedback to design leads regarding design and verification of modules

 

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering

 

Experience:

  • 2+ years
