SEC Reporting & Corporate Accounting Manager

Job Responsibilities


This is Manager position in the external reporting and corporate accounting group. Significant responsibilities include the following:


External Reporting


  • Prepare SEC forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, DEF 14A proxy statements, and other ad hoc internal and external reporting requirements
  • Partner with cross functional teams including Finance, Tax, and Legal, as well as international locations in writing and updating footnote disclosures
  • Assist Investor Relations with quarterly earnings releases by validating disclosures, ensuring consistency of data, and compliance with SEC rules and regulations
  • Assist with preparing and reviewing XBRL tagging and validation


Corporate Accounting


  • Identify potential accounting issues, research applicable accounting literature, and propose solutions to accounting management
  • Write technical accounting memos to document accounting positions and conclusions
  • Identify areas of accounting risk and modify or implement controls as necessary to ensure compliance with SOX controls and company policies and procedures
  • Support internal and external audits by timely review and submission of requested schedules and other reporting information to the audit teams and ensure resolution of audit inquiries


Project Accounting and Support


  • Assist in implementing new accounting standards
  • Support the accounting department as needed in acquisitions and divestitures
  • Support ad hoc request and projects as required, such as annual and periodic tests for impairment of goodwill and long-lived assets


Minimum Qualifications


  • At least six years of related work experience in SEC financial reporting, technical accounting, or public accounting audit and assurance experience with emphasis in public companies
  • Experience in researching highly complex accounting issues and documenting accounting positions in technical memos
  • Exceptional commitment to meeting strict deadlines in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite; particularly Excel
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Exceptional dedication to customer satisfaction and strong interpersonal relationship skills


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in supporting and accounting for M&A transactions a plus
  • Actively working towards or already credentialed as a Certified Public Accountant




  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
