TD Metrology Manager - NAND

As a Metrology Manager in Fab 4 Technology Development, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers developing new metrology applications, recipes, and measurement technologies in a leading-edge 300mm fabrication facility located at corporate headquarters in Boise, Idaho.  Responsibilities include mentoring the team in technology, analyzing results for efficacy, and driving these solutions into a high-volume manufacturing environment.  The team associated with this role is responsible for multiple metrology disciplines including; Optical Thin Films, Scatterometry, Overlay/Registration, X-Ray, and CDSEM.  The role will be focused on 3DNAND or DRAM process flows of Micron’s next generation memory products.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Encourage a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Mentor your team in efficient and capable methods, analysis, and reporting.
  • Build, monitor, and report on team project status, performance, successes, and failures.
  • Build and maintain metrology technology roadmaps aligned with our technology development partner needs.
  • Work with cross functional teams and senior management to prioritize activities and establish deliverables for both strategic and tactical metrology issues.
  • Participate in worldwide alignment teams verifying that our projects and support are delivered in a timely and organized fashion.
  • Meet periodically with partners and review support needs and failures.
  • Meet periodically with suppliers to review continuous improvement projects and applications issues including responsibility and timelines.
  • Demonstrate baseline expectations on job performance including; innovation, organization, communication, quality, transparency, accountability, efficiency, and ethic.

 

Successful candidates will have:

  • BS plus 5 years experience or MS/PhD plus 2 years experience in Engineering, Physics, Material Science or related technical discipline.
  • 3 years metrology experience in the semiconductor industry working with optical thin Films, scatterometry, overlay, X-Ray, or CDSEM technologies.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes (diffusion, CVD, Etch, Lithography) and DRAM or 3DNAND memory device process flows.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office and JMP.
  • Strong data analysis skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
