Intern - Product Yield Enhancement Engineer

As a Product Yield Enhancement Engineer (PYE) Intern within Product Engineering at Micron Technology, Inc, you will work with a team responsible for taking next generation devices from design to mass production.  Product Engineering's (PYE) team focus is to drive test yield and product reliability at product introduction, allowing for rapid production ramp and early time to market.  Primary areas of responsibility will be to use a combination of electrical and physical characterization techniques combined with statistical analysis to identify physical defects introduced by process level.  Product Yield Enhancement has the primary responsibility for communicating and coordinating backend yield improvement activities with management, product, process, and test engineering.



Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • Computer aided schematic and layout experience
  • Semiconductor process coursework
  • UNIX and Programming experience
  • Experience working in teams and ability to work well with others
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Solid GPA
  • Course work in VLSI design and semiconductors (Preferred)
  • Work experience in related field through co-op, internship, or projects
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-motivation and enthusiasm



Must be pursuing a minimum of a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline. Graduation date should not be prior to December 2021.


This internship will primarily span the summer months in 2021.
