Intern - Mask Tech Systems

We are looking for a motivated intern who wants to tackle hard problems, someone who loves to challenge themselves by learning new things and wants to be part of a committed group of software developers in a dynamic and professional environment!


Our team is responsible for the development of custom software applications in order to facilitate the design and manufacture of photo masks for use in semiconductor fabrication. We collaborate with engineers from many different departments within Micron to ensure timely delivery of quality reticles!

Responsibilities and Tasks

We design and develop custom software, scripts, and interactive web pages, requiring use of the following skills:

  • JavaScript and one or more client side open source MVC frameworks (Angular, Knockout, Bootstrap, etc.).
  • Understanding of HTML5 concepts and usage. Experience with data visualization packages recommended (D3.js, Highcharts, etc.).
  • Experience with Java Spring or Spring boot development.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl and/or Python.
  • Understanding of modern design patterns for web development (Single Page Applications, REST, etc.).
  • Experience in SQL and one or more open source RDMS systems is helpful, but not required.
  • Experience with Linux development tools.
  • You may also have the opportunity to work with fellow interns from other areas on a team project.

  • Ability to multi-task and drive complex projects
  • Advanced PC skills and familiarity with the Microsoft suite of tools, or equivalent presentation software
  • Ability to solve problems by identifying and resolving root causes
  • Ability to recognize performance gaps and identify steps to improve upon them
  • Prove the ability to follow basic procedures and work with minimal supervision

Education and Experience

  • Junior or Senior (if graduating in December 2021) working towards a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree.
  • Graduation date should not be before September 1, 2021
