Intern - Manufacturing Analyst

As a Manufacturing Analyst (MA) Intern you are responsible for tactically balancing the production line flow for assigned areas while identifying area priorities and execution supports production line priorities. MA’s are the on-shift priority lot guides and response team in order to drive activities to deliver quality cycles of learning at a low cycle time for their area. This team is crucial in making data driven decisions to forecast area needs and actively address known issues.  Internship is encouraged to be completed onsite but could be done virtually.  


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  •  Complete all required safety training and conducting all work in accordance with Micron safety policies
  • Assist with analyzing capacity, production scheduling, tool loading, efficiency improvement opportunities, and presenting findings and priorities to the production teams
  • Assist with crafting daily run plans for their assigned area shift teams
  • Partner with area team and equipment engineering to understand strategic capacity and overall Fab constraints
  • Identifying and executing tactical area capacity flex options (i.e. offloads, conversions, etc)
  • Assuming additional duties and projects to improve the team performance as directed by the supervisor




  • Demonstrated understanding of operations management techniques and theories with intermediate understanding of semiconductor production operations concepts
  • Advanced communication skills and ability to present effectively to a wide variety of audiences
  • Advanced understanding of algebraic concepts, PC skills and familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to identify and resolve root causes.  Understanding of SPC principle and advanced data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills
  • Ability lead teams at a high level, drive projects to completion and able to recognize performance gaps and identify steps to improve. 
  • Time management and prioritization skills and proven ability to follow basic procedures and work with minimal supervision


Education Requirements:

  • Working towards completion of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, with expected graduation no sooner than December 2021.
  • Experience within Line Management, Manufacturing, Supervision, Mentoring, or Semiconductor Operations is also preferred but not required.
