As a Global Security Organization Project Intern at Micron Technologies, Inc., you will be

responsible for assisting PMs to drive the application of best-known project methodologies as well as coordinating project activities across the Global Security team. You must successfully work with your assigned PMs to identify stakeholders, gather requirements, establishing goals and objectives, build project schedules, report project progress and control the projects through all phases from initiation, planning, execution / control, and on-time / within budget project closure.

business value. In this role you will be working shoulder-to-shoulder with IT and business teams. This is

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Assist GSO Project Managers to lead multiple sophisticated projects that will achieve specific business goals and objectives
  • Assist PMs to lead and run project teams
  • Assist PMs in the collection of project requirements, user stories and dependencies
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a detailed project schedule and user stories in collaboration with team members
  • Assist in the tracking and progress reporting progress based on delivery using measurable metrics and critical metrics
  • Be a strong and accountable partner with all project team members
  • As necessary, assist the project team to identify and minimize project issues, gaps and risks
  • As necessary, assist in the coordination of project communication and change management internal and external to the GSO team
  • Help to create and maintain comprehensive project documentation


Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to see tasks to their conclusion
  • Understanding of basic fundamentals of software development lifecycle and of project management methodologies
  • Ability to communicate in a business-relevant language
  • Ability to be proactive, flexible and a fast learner
  • Ability to react to high-pressure dynamic changing environments
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • High energy and positive attitude


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must be pursuing a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree with an expected graduation date of December 2021 or later. Project Management course work or related experience is a plus
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and Project skills
  • Awareness of software development lifecycles.  Preferably waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at once
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-changing environment that requires a high degree of
  • multitasking
  • Ability to stay on target while working remotely
