Do you have a passion for diversity, equality, and inclusion?

 

As the Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Intern at Micron Technology, you will join an exceptionally passionate, collaborative, and committed team working together towards our vision of creating a culture of inclusion. Reporting directly to the DEI Operations Manager, you will have exposure to our DEI strategy and will learn how to develop and implement DEI programs to obtain our DEI goals. As our DEI Intern, you will work with closely with the DEI Operations Manager as well as the rest of the global DEI team to coordinate and facilitate activities that ultimately drive our strategy forward.

Project Coordination

  • Event Coordination - Assist with the planning and execution of diversity, equality, and inclusion initiatives, programs, meetings, and focus groups.

Special Projects

  • Complete an assigned special global DEI project to own from ideation to deployment that supports the overall DEI strategy.
  • Play a meaningful role in crafting the Global DEI Week celebration at Micron.

Administrative Support

  • Support with scheduling meetings, lead the development & communication of meeting notes, update content on DEI website, the creation of materials (slides, flyers, online resources, etc.), coordinate scheduling of Zoom panels
  • General administrative and facilitation support to the DEI Operations manager and other DEI members as needed
  • Actively identify and implement process improvements

Qualifications:

  • Able to intern in San Jose, CA or Boise, ID, for the full 2021 calendar year
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion or a related field of study (graduation date should not be prior to December 2021)
  • Has and can demonstrate strong organizational skills and strong detail-orientation
  • Has strong communication skills: writing, editing, and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Vision, passion, and commitment to addressing diversity, equality, and inclusion
  • Requires ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files
