IT Solutions Manager

This leadership role within the PLM, BU, Sales (PBS) IT organization leads & supports the solutions surrounding the PLM systems powering Micron’s multi-billion-dollar product development pipeline. This position manages a growing team of development staff engaged in significant development projects. These lean/Agile teams are on the front line of implementing and extending a global Siemen’s Teamcenter enterprise deployment and partner closely with counterparts in Boise, USA to deliver solutions and value to our business community. In this hands-on leadership-by-example position, you will be expected to get into the details with your leadership team and work closely with senior management to help define the organizational strategy. The ideal candidate will have the experience and vision to organize and support a rapidly growing team, and the leadership to see solutions through to delivery.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead and develop team members
  • Direct a team of project managers, architects, engineers, analysts, and others in delivering business intelligence solutions
  • Develop and deliver effective and efficient solutions
  • Partner with internal customers to implement solutions with business cases focused on solving problems and enhancing decision making with data and information
  • Collaborate with other IT Solution Delivery teams to share knowledge, ensure alignment and demonstrate unified IT solutions and services
  • Implement solutions that eliminate or minimize technical debt through a well-designed architecture, data model, and lifecycle
  • Prioritize projects according to the value delivered to the business. Deliver projects timely, to specification, and within budget
  • Actively participate in the roadmap and lifecycle methods and technology with relevant partners
  • Ensure the team remains current on required skills. Invest time in coaching and mentoring team members
  • Help team members learn and grow
  • Design, measure and assess key performance metrics to inform data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement
  • Establish, communicate, and refine department capabilities to ensure expectations are aligned
  • Collaborate with peers to construct and define enterprise solutions
  • Manage conflict and drive issues to resolution
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and strategic problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative leadership approach embracing a growth mindset
  • Program/Project management, with experience leading multiple large projects
  • Agile / Scrum methodology

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related curriculum OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of international IT leadership with complex enterprise systems
  • The capability to build strong rapport with IT leaders and staff
  • Experience in collaborating with team members to remove impediments
  • Apply discretion and confidentiality to manage sensitive and complex issues
  • Facilitate effective resource and risk management practices
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate studies in industry-related field
  • 5+ years of experience with PLM systems or the semiconductor industry
  • 3+ years of experience presenting status and plans to director & above leadership
  • Experience in the high-tech industry
