Global Supply Chain Workforce Development Manager

As a Global Supply Chain (GSC) Workforce Development (WFD) Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be leading and improving a team of workforce development specialists in supporting GSC workforce readiness. You and your team will work to optimize the training and documentation infrastructure, processes, and products that enables GSC capability and competitiveness. You will collaborate with global stakeholders and business partners to enable business objectives and goals through workforce and leader development.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

 

Leadership and Performance Management

  • Recruit, retain and develop Top Talent (Workforce Development Specialists).
  • Identify and define group deliverables and success metrics aligned with GSC priorities and company strategy.
  • Responsible for the development, coaching, engagement and performance management of GSC WFD members.
  • Support GSC WFD leader succession planning.

 

Manage Global Supply Chain Workforce Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with the GSC leadership team to identify the technical training needs of the workforce.
  • Coordinate the definition of work for unique positions consisting of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competency requirements.
  • Collaborate with department heads to best leverage the collective GSC training budget and its application
  • Drive alignment and standardization on training-related goals across GSC functions using common methods and metrics.
  • Develop and lead the various training programs including department level onboarding for all new GSC team members.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators to meet goals.
  • Drive accountability through clear communication, informal feedback, effective project management, and appropriate usage of data.
  • Collaborate with Human Resource and recruiting to facilitate university relations and internships for GSC.
  • Leverage Micron’s corporate suggestion portal to enable GSC idea collection, ratification and subsequent project sponsorship.

 

Strategic Global Supply Chain Training, Documentation

  • Facilitate world-wide efforts in standardization and continuous improvement of GSC training and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Micron’s corporate wide workforce development community of practice to define and deploy best known methods for workforce development and to leverage corporate resources to further GSC initiatives when appropriate.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and enabling projects that support GSC, customer requirements, and Company objectives.

 

Tactical Leadership

  • Assist functional teams to formulate deliverables and identify clear ownership as it relates to training and documentation.
  • Create and maintain the necessary Process Training that supports new processes and system capabilities.
  • Manage training requests that come from other departments. Prioritize based on available resources and requirements from GSC.
  • Provide Training, Development, and Education Solutions

  • Participate in project definition
  • Execute to project plan
  • Escalate risks and issues
  • Communicate project status and goals with stakeholders
  • Evaluate project effectiveness

 

Education Required

Bachelors Degree

  • Education Leadership/Adult Learning
  • Training and Development
  • Instructional performance technology
  • Related field of study

 

Experience Required

2 years leadership experience

5 years overall experience in any of the following:

  • Instructional Design
  • Training/Development/Education
  • Supply Chain Operations
