Reporting to the Assistant Controller, as the Senior Finance Manager, Corporate Accounting, you will lead accounting functions, period end journal entries, general ledger, intercompany, and monthly close process. You will ensure the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data. You will support annual audits, quarterly reviews and special projects. You will also ensure compliance with internal policies and processes and with regulatory requirements. This position involves interaction with external auditors, finance staff, and process owners in other functions. You will ensure proper recordkeeping for document retention. You will lead a team: hire, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead month-end closing and consolidation process
  • Review and approve account reconciliation and journal entries
  • Maintain accounting documentation and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, processes and Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Craft and implement new business processes in response to the dynamic business or regulatory environment with continual focus on reduced cycle times
  • Provide accounting and reporting oversight and leadership to subsidiary finance teams
  • Build positive relationships, coach and provide career development opportunities for your reports
  • Set team goals and manage individual performance
  • Lead ad hoc and special projects teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 10+ years of experience in finance, accounting and external reporting
  • Experience in accounting for significant and complex business transactions
  • Leadership experience and interaction with all levels of management
  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem solving capabilities
  • Superb organizational skills
  • Effective, strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Significant attention to detail
  • Deep knowledge of Unites States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Deep understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Experience analyzing large amounts of financial data
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with SAP or another comparable Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system

Preferred Skills:

  • Public accounting and auditing experience
  • High-tech industry experience
