Fab4 is the world-class process development fab for Micron’s worldwide sister production fabs.As a Process Engineer in Fab4, you will maintain processes by supporting manufacturing, improving process efficiencies, correcting process excursions and increasing equipment up time and product throughput. In this position, you will support existing processes, identify process and material improvements and correct process deviations while developing intellectual property.

 

You will work closely with Process Development and Process Integration engineers and technicians to improve and maintain area processes to meet their critical needs while running and overseeing progress on critical process related experiments.

 

 Additionally, you will respond to production issues and implement solutions, work to reduce operating expenses, and work to improve product yields.

 

You will use statistical process controls and data analysis to support and monitor the performance of processes and tools used to manufacture our state of the art designs.

 

Your responsibilities will include identifying and resolving defect-related issues from the process itself or from equipment-related problems or hardware. In addition to assisting development engineering with projects and troubleshooting, you will be the first line of defense to resolve area excursions and line-down issues. You can also expect to assist area technicians with routine maintenance and with preventative maintenance procedure improvement. You will implement and communicate procedural changes via engineering change notices (ECNs) to engineers and production personnel.

 

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • BS in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or equivalent semiconductor industry experience is preferred; however, other engineering or related disciplines may be considered.
  • Proven history of project management skills.
  • Good data summary and analysis skills.
  • Good communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • An innovative and self-motivated personality.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • A working knowledge of Fab processes.
  • Good analytical skills. 
  • A basic understanding of semiconductor device theory.
  • A proven history of results
  • Good computer knowledge that can be applied to documentation, analysis and troubleshooting
  • Must be flexible to work any shift
