As a NAND Process Integration Engineer you will take ownership of one or more process modules related to the development and operation of a semiconductor integrated circuit. This requires understanding of structural requirements, electrical performance, and process control mechanisms. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and addressing them early. Patent disclosures are expected on a regular basis.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 

  • Provide team leadership in the module development
  • You will craft and lead a development team including Process Engineers, Layout, Design, Device Simulation, Probe, EFA, PFA, and Product Engineering resources
  • Regularly run reports on critical metrics that are directly related to your Yield and Parametric Output
  • Set a clear direction and vision for the module and provide a path for continual improvement while understanding the overall flow
  • Provide regular input/feedback to the team regarding upstream and downstream impacts to your module
  • You understand and read technical literature and apply to your own research projects within your module
  • You understand scaling issues and have the insight to provide direction for future
  • Work with Planning and Process Groups to provide Cost and Manufacturability vs. Quality assessments and optimization for process options
  • You understand design rules, OPC, database, layout, etc. and be able to inspect layout, fractured data for errors
  • Provide for Collection and Analyses of critical data during the processing of the experiment
  • Request any standard and additional tests and collaborate with internal teams to evaluate and improve the process and product based on the analysis of the data
  • Develop expertise in parametric tests, probe flow, circuit operation, etc.
  • Analyze experiments, translate failures into root cause and drive conclusions to improve yield and reliability problems
  • Drive the material changes from research into production
  • Make key decisions for the team, as well as provide clear direction, goals and metrics for success of the team
  • You should have a strong work ethic and be highly motivated to continue growing technically through education via training
  • Establish clear and strong lines of communication allowing a quick response to customer requirements
  • Communicate key information via presentations and group discussion and drive informed decisions through management, peers and direct reports

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics, or a MS with 2 years experience, or a BS with 5 years experience.

 

Safety Skills:

 

  • Identify and promptly report hazards while following safety procedures and area work rules including proper PPE, lockout and chemical safety
  • Operate and maintain equipment and tools within the manufacturer’s and company guidelines
  • Consistently use proper lifting techniques and work in an ergonomically correct manner
