Director of Corporate Physical Security Operations

As the Director of Physical Security Operations, you will be a member of Micron’s Corporate Security leadership team. You will be responsible for the implementation, delivery, and day to day ownership of the corporate physical security operations team and programs. You will drive the corporate security polices and standards across the global enterprise. You will lead the global guard force operational standards and improvement as well as coordination of all security operations centers. You will work closely with the other corporate security leadership team members as it relates to protective services, investigation and security systems & technology. You will have both direct reports and indirect reporting relationships within corporate security.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

  • Development and implementation of Micron’s corporate security policies and programs
  • Directs and provides guidance to the corporate security staff (regional security managers, and location security teams) in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes across Micron to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to the company
  • Mitigate significant security risks, designs and implements strategies and programs to prevent and reduce loss of the organization’s assets while optimizing costs
  • Prioritize multiple Corporate Security Initiatives
  • Provide guidance, oversight and support to Micron security operations centers and activities to ensure the protection of employees, information and physical assets, while ensuring efficient use of personnel and equipment
  • Develops and delivers preventative programs and services to protect against criminal financial loss, crime against persons, threats, emergencies, illegal acts, and property
  • Supports Corporate Security’s Systems and technology team with state-of-the-art solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard assets while identify cost saving opportunities using technology
  • Support Corporate Security’s Protectives Services team in their functional areas of workplace violence programs, travel security, risk intelligence and executive protection
  • Supports and coordinates a wide range of investigations, in conjunction with other members of corporate security, internal and external resources
  • Serves as the subject matter authority for state, federal, international security regulated programs such as CFATS
  • Ensure proper vendor identification, bidding, and budgeting to support the corporate security initiatives
  • Develops close relationships with high-level law enforcement, international security agencies, and private sector counterparts
  • Briefs executive management on status of security issues
  • Lead the corporate security response to crisis events and serve as the conduit to corporate resources and services for the regional operations
  • Identify tools and programs that will build consistency in our efforts to safeguard corporate assets
  • Develop and deliver security awareness, communication, and education for all Micron locations and employees

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate security management and leadership
  • Minimum of 8 years acting in an international security leadership role
  • Minimum of 5 years as a member of a security leadership team with a major corporation or Fortune 500 company
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) accreditation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or relevant business fields of study
  • Proficiency in the international security arena
  • CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner)
  • Direct security experience with major technology organization
  • Direct APAC regional exposure
