Micron Technology’s vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life and our dedication to people, innovation, tenacity, teamwork, and customer focus allows us to fulfill our mission to be a global leader in memory and storage solutions. This means conducting business with integrity, accountability, and teamwork while supporting our global community.

As the Director of EDA Technology development, you will have responsibility for innovation in the EDA solution space for DRAM and Emerging Memory design. Advanced memory design introduces unrivaled Design and Design Automation challenges around ultra large scale full custom product designs. This is required for full optimization of performance and power for products headed for high volume manufacturing. Digital implementation techniques are combined with mixed signal and analog block components with an emphasis on die size minimization using a low number of interconnect levels. Utmost rigor is also applied to Design Verification through logic and analog simulation with FastSPICE. Efficient design implementation and verification require creative Design Automation solutions including internally developed tools and methodologies. Micron has a rich history of differentiated proprietary EDA solutions required as a result of extraordinary memory design requirements not serviced well by EDA vendors aiming at larger addressable markets.

  • Expertise in transistor level modeling and simulation techniques and tools, including variation modeling and analysis
  • Experience with full custom layout techniques and automation
  • Expertise in cell characterization and logic simulation techniques including dynamic testbench driven verification and STA
  • Knowledge of DRC, LVS and ERC rules systems and tools for physical and electrical verification
  • A track record of creative solutions and experience leading a software development team
