As the Director of Module Development in the Central Engineering organization you will be responsible for managing the group responsible for delivery of PCBA designs of DRAM DIMM, SSD, 3DXP, and engineering development boards.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead a 50+ global Module Design organization, managing group headcount, expense, and capital budgets across four key functions:
    • PCBA Development team, delivering Best in Class PCBAs on time and on target
    • DIMM and development board Hardware Engineering group
    • Lab team responsible for PCBA Characterization, Validation, Signal Quality Analysis and component characterization using Systems and ATE.
    • Materials Engineering group responsible for PCBA material and component development
  • Establish organizational roadmaps and strategies
  • Resource modeling, management, and development
  • Optimize group performance and structure by monitoring metrics and objectives to drive improvement.
  • Work with multi-functional partners and leaders to ensure solid collaboration
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Aim for a robust Quality Management System resulting in zero defects and board spins
  • Drive DFX to optimize Designs for: Quality, Performance, Cost, Test, and High Volume Manufacturability (HVM)
  • Develop and drive group Objectives that align with Corporate Objectives

 

Qualifications:

  • Consistent track record in successfully delivering complex PCBA products from concept through HVM, aligned with QMS and DFx requirements.
  • Understanding what a world class capability looks like -- now and in the future -- and how to deliver it
  • Demonstrated ability to transform and navigate changing needs and priorities, ambiguity, and short deadlines
  • Meaningful track record of successfully leading teams, projects, budgets, and schedules
  • Experience leading in a cross-functional setting with a shown ability to influence key partners with fact-based approach
  • Excellent analytical, analysis, and problem solving-skills
  • Ability to develop innovative approaches and collaborate with vendors and suppliers to enable world-class solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

 

Education and experience:

  • 10 years leading semiconductor product development teams, hardware engineering and development teams.
  • M.B.A. with B.S. in Engineering or M.S. in Engineering Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering fields.
  • Experience leading a global team, with demonstration of career progression
