Data Science Intern - Product Engineer (3DXP)

As a Data Scientist at Micron Technology, Inc., you will make value out of data and build practical applications to improve the predictive methods of operation at 3DXP PE group.


Your responsibilities and tasks will include, but not limited to: 

  • Creating various Machine Learning-based tools or processes within the company, such as recommendation engines or automated lead scoring systems, based on data collection, aggregation, and analysis
  • You will execute techniques and theories drawn from areas of mathematics, statistics, and information technology to uncover patterns in data
  • Develop predictive models, actionable insights, and solutions based on data discovery
  • You will work with a team of Product engineers and Cell/Device engineers
  • Your work will benefit with product development direction, failure analysis, yield optimization, and Test program development at wafer, component, and module steps.

 Successful candidates for this position will have:

Must be pursuing a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields

  • Experience in the areas: statistical modeling, feature extraction and analysis, supervised/unsupervised/semi-supervised learning
  • You can extract data from different databases via SQL and other query languages and applying data cleansing, outlier identification, and missing data techniques
  • Strong software development skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Deep understanding of machine learning and other advanced analytical methods
  • You are fluent in Python and/or R
  • You are experienced or willing to learn Hadoop, pySpark, Hive, HDFS, etc
