Micron Technology's vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life and our commitment to people, innovation, tenacity, collaboration, and customer focus allows us to fulfill our mission to be a global leader in memory and storage solutions. This means conducting business with integrity, accountability, and professionalism while supporting our global community.

The China Industry Affairs Liason is responsible for:

- Ensuring that Micron is aligned with and influencing the relevant formal and informal standards organizations

- For ensuring alignment with and influence of the emerging China processing eco-system including Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning and 5G-related activities

- For helping establish “insider” relationships between the leaders of key China eco-system partners and the appropriate Micron executives

- For identifying opportunities for Micron to establish a position of thought leadership on the importance of memory and storage to AI/ML, IoT and other emerging trends.

Standards organizations include the Chinese Electronics Standardization Association (CESA) under Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) which is the official counterpart of JEDEC in China. The Chinese government is establishing national “secure & controllable” standards for CPUs, MCUs, SoCs, Non-Volatile memory and storage devices & subsystems and other “intelligent” data infrastructure equipment. The China Affairs Liason will work to establish relationships with the leaders of Chinese eco-systems partners that are driving these standards to – at a minimum – ensure that Micron is not excluded, and – ideally – can influence these standards. The China Affairs Liason will also work closely with Micron’s government affairs team, as appropriate, to help influence these standards.

  • Leadership and strategic planning capability
  • Strong project management skills to ensure execution to timelines
