As a Site Quality Manager in Micron, you will be responsible to innovate and build effective processes and systems that the Back End Network can utilize to align focus on improving the top quality concerns for our site.

 

Responsibilities

 

STRATEGIC SITE QUALITY MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop a Best in Class Quality Culture at an appropriate cost.

• Deliver a consolidated and aligned focus on improving performance variation and deviations that impact required product quality

• Build a site quality team that will drive to zero deviations from product requirements.

• Participate in efforts related to alignment and collaboration of Quality organizations in the Back end network.

• Develop line of site metrics

• Reduce overall process and equipment variation.

• PCS tool integration

• Develop an IQC process that works collaboratively between manufacturing and purchasing

• Institute an FMEA based risk mitigation process in manufacturing

• Develop a Product Quality Management system though the supply chain.

• Line Control: PCS responsibilities

• Product Quality: PQA responsibilities

• Quality Systems Management: QMS responsibilities

• Closed-loop Internal/External Audit System

• Work with all sites and business partners to establish an effective communication system.

• Establish, measure, and drive for goals based results.

• Reduce overall deviations and excursions.

 

PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT

• Provide a work environment that empowers employees to creatively improve their work environment, instills a sense of ownership in Micron, and supports a team effort.

• Provide documented performance management for all direct reports with formal and informal feedback, work on a plan jointly to enhance strengths and address weaknesses, and establish performance plan goals with line of sight to IPP goals, MFG initiatives and company strategy.

• Implement meetings with purpose, require action items and follow up at the next meeting.

• Attract top talent to the group as needed to meet operational objectives.

• Define job responsibilities for all directs. Ensure job responsibilities are well understood and actionable.

• Ensure training objectives and personal training profiles are well defined and progress is managed to target expectations.

• Address performance issues in a timely manner and follow through with appropriate corrective action.

 

TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP

• Create clear line of sight between function group and site objectives to back end network and company objectives.

• Insure consistent and effective setting of functional group priorities. Effectively communicate these across the site.

• Develop and maintain functional group effectiveness KPI’s. Set performance targets to insure beneficial impact to the business. Insure these are reviewed with functional, manager and key customers on a periodic basis.

• Promote expertise in instructional design, performance improvement, change management, and technical communication principles through engagement of members in appropriate internal and external activities.

• Promote operational excellence through consistent dialog/feedback with team members and partners on continual improvement. Promote culture of seeking and selecting the best activities and removal of those with lower value.

 

SAFETY, SECURITY & ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE

• Build/Maintain/Support a positive work culture for safety, security, and environmental programs.

• Provide a safe and healthy work environment for team members by ensuring category risks are minimized.

• Communicate problems or concerns to the appropriate resources in a timely manner.

 

Requirement

Degree in Engineering

10 years of relevant experience
