The HR Service Center is one of the key “faces” of HR to Micron team members, offering a centralized online portal and service center for reporting and answering HR-related enquiries, performing HR master data transactions and handle employee relations matter.

As a Senior/ HR Customer Service Center Specialist, you will respond to and track customer requests and enquiries, support configuration and testing of HR systems and programs, maintain employee and organization records and contribute to the customer service knowledgebase and improve operating processes and achieve high standards for first-call resolution and data quality.

You will support and lead HR projects to drive continuous improvement to deliver HR services with excellent team member experience in the service center environment.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Respond to Customer Requests and Inquiries

  • Receive request from customer through enquiry tool or other communication method (such as, telephone, email or walk-in)
  • Enter request into tracking program, as appropriate
  • Utilize the knowledge base or research or troubleshoot request as needed to provide answers and clarifications to improve first call resolution
  • Provide requestor with information, or refer/escalate to the appropriate resource

Implement, Review, and Monitor Services

  • Receive training from service manager or appropriate party for new or changed services
  • Receive certification on team readiness
  • Monitor and review process effectiveness in the Service Center environment
  • Provide input to service manager regarding changes, gaps, or improvements, as needed
  • Maintain standard operating procedures and knowledge base which includes identifying repetitive questions or requests that can be addressed through the self-service model (HR portal, FAQ, Employee/Manager Self Service tools)
  • Manage and perform the user acceptance testing of HR systems, applications and macros
  • Lead and support HR projects which includes driving improvement projects to improve HR team’s accuracy and efficiency in delivering HR services

Manage and Maintain Personnel and Organizational Records

  • Receive notification and enter request into tracking program
  • Refer to the Standard Operating Procedure and policy for the applicable process
  • Escalate issues to service managers or other appropriate party, as needed
  • Notify applicable parties of required forms, timelines, questions and etc.
  • Update the HR system of record with applicable information
  • Validate data changes in the HR system of record
  • Notify applicable parties of data changes, as needed

Maintain Company and Employee Data Processes, Transactions and Program

  • Administer organization management
  • Administer position management
  • Facilitate new hire, rehire, conversion and separation processing
  • Facilitate hire and maintain non-employee records
  • Manage employee personnel filing and support various functional audit (RBA, grants and SOX) as appropriate
  • Administer changes to employee personal records, compensation and benefits
  • Administer the employment verification process and employment data tracking, including work authorization
  • Support, process and maintain personnel and organizational records and requests
  • Support functional & business requirement to re-configure HR system

Improve and Support Employee Program and Welfare

  • Administer compensation, benefits and wellness program
  • Administer continuous education and grants claims
  • Support team member orientation
  • Partner with Learning and Development Program Team to organize, promote learning initiatives and program


  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Good communication skills, with good command of written and spoken English
  • 6-10 year experience in Human Resources/Customer Service environment with SAP knowledge
  • Ability to interact and deal with people in a professional and confidential manner
  • Attention to detail and quality, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good time management skills to prioritize a high-volume workload and multitask to meet deadlines in a fast-changing environment
  • Enjoy problem-solving with analytical and creative ability
  • Fun loving personality with ability to participate in events/roadshow and associate with wide variety of audience in an interactive manner
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
