Staff Engineer - FPGA Design

Job Responsibilities:

•             Experienced in FPGA prototyping and integration including timing closure

•             RTL block level design, implementation, and verification

•             System level validation

•             Defining hardware specifications for FPGA prototype board

•             Hardware micro-architecture in data path, buffer management, and MCU

•             FPGA prototype planning, define the Pre-Si FPGA Prototyping platforms

•             Define and review schematic for FPGA platform, daughter card spec and pins out

•             Search and evaluate available 3rd party IPs/VIPs.

•             Work closely with DV and Firmware/Software teams during the entire validation process

               including post-silicon bring-up

•             Assist in complex subsystem level lab bring-up, integration, and unit test validation.

 

 Required qualifications:

•             8 years of FPGA Design and Debug experience (preferably with Xilinx UltraScale+ and Virtex7)

•             Technical expertise in hardware architecture for Storage and memory systems

•             Extensive experience with FPGA prototyping for storage controller

•             Experience in hardware architecture design, micro-architecture, and RTL design

•             Understanding of NVM media device such as NAND flash memory or other new emerging

               memory technology is a plus

•             Proficiency in C/C++, Matlab, Python is a plus

•             Proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM is a plus

•             Understanding of ASIC flow is a plus

•             Good understanding of Synthesis, Placement, Routing flow

•             Good understanding of timing and FPGA resource analysis and floor planning

•             Good understanding of Vivado IPI flow

•             Understanding of zebu platform is a plus

•             Experience working in a Linux environment, Perl, and TCL scripting

•             Design optimization to achieve FPGA area/performance goals

•             Innovative problem-solving skills

•             Strong communication skills and cross-functional teamwork

•             Extensive debug experience using Xilinx ILA and Protocol Analyzers, Oscilloscope, Logic

              Analyzers.

 

Added Qualifications:

•             Work with Global teams, define expectations, drive the requirements closure and delivery alignments and follow up’s.

•             Ability and experience to drive the critical decisions for the SOC

•             Experience with PCIe, DDR, NAND I/F and storage SOC designs (advantage)

•             Excellent problem-solving, communication and leadership skills.
