Package Development Technical Program Manager

As a Package Development Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading PDE’s product family portfolio development from the early stages of feasibility studies through the new product introductions stage gates and culminating at manufacturing product safe launch. Your responsibilities will entail collaborating with Strategic BU Marketing, Field Applications, Product Engineering, Package Design, NPI PMO and Package Customer Applications teams on key portfolio timelines, strategy, technology, and high-level execution status to senior management within the PMO, PE, GQ, and BUs within Micron. You will track achievements and actions to achieve timely product portfolio delivery. 

Responsibility: 

  • Deep understanding of product architectures and customer requirements. 

  • Portfolio road map development for new concepts and extension of existing technologies. 

  • Product lifecycle management and execution from road maps and feasibility studies through portfolio safe launch into manufacturing. 

  • PMO, PE, and BU interface for engineering and qualification sample plans to achieve timely and successful internal and customer product portfolio qualification release. 

  • Participate and give critical inputs to Technical Risk Assessments from an architecture and application perspective. 

  • Maintain a matrix of key performance indices to drive efficient and effective product portfolio development through team-based continuous improvement. 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of domain experts across functions to successfully map technology intercepts for packaging. 

  • Identify projects and key strategic initiatives to support future architecture and customer requirements. 

  • Application of critical thinking techniques to develop complex technology solutions. 

  • Have an aptitude for senior-level communication practices for regular portfolio and architecture updates to Micron leadership. 

Education: 

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized university or related field equivalent technical work experience. 

  • PhD. in engineering preferred. 

Experience: 

  • Highly motivated individuals with a minimum of 10 years of packaging experience are encouraged to apply. 

  • Deep understanding of mobile, graphics and networking architectures preferred.
