We are looking for a passionate Memory Circuit Design Verification Engineer / Senior Memory Circuit Design Verification Engineer in Micron Technology’s DRAM and Emerging Memory Group (DEG).

 

As a Memory Circuit Design Verification Engineer, you will work with a highly innovative and motivated design team using state of the art memory technologies to develop the most advanced DRAM and Emerging memory products. You will be challenged by the complexity and difficulty of verifying high-density memory chips (up to 32Gb) with huge scale of circuit capability (over 4M transistors), ultra-high-speed designs, complex functionality, which includes next Generation DDR/LPDDR (ex: DDR5, LPDDR5) and advanced low power and power management technologies. You will need to have the ability to work as a Memory Circuit Verification Engineer to evaluate Full chip or block-level functionality and provide solutions to help deliver functionally correct design. You will work closely with Micron's various design and verification teams worldwide to contribute to the success of the design projects by applying verification tools and techniques, providing verification status and summaries to specific designs as needed.

 

Responsibilities

  • Using advanced verification languages and techniques to build a cutting-edge verification platform.
  • Participating in creating our full-chip behavior model that is distributed to Micron’s world-wide external customers months before silicon is available.
  • Participating in defining specification details in collaboration with Business Units, Design, Product Engineering, and Verification.
  • Designing and implementing verification tools to fully evaluate memory designs at chip or block-level on functionality.
  • Working closely with Micron's global design teams to contribute to the success of the design team by applying verification tools and techniques (critical for new memory architectures that are in the specification development phase).
  • Building a verification plan, incorporating directed and random patterns that cover all features of a memory design.
  • Working with international colleagues on developing new verification tools and flows to solve the verification difficulties.
  • Provide verification support to design projects by simulating, analyzing, and debugging pre-silicon full-chip designs.

 

Requirements

  • Fluency in verification languages (System Verilog) and methodologies (UVM or equivalent);
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design;
  • Ability to abstract complex technical details into an easy to understand interface;
  • Good debugging and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in using scripting language to automate tasks;
  • Experience defining coverage strategy and writing coverage model;
  • Must possess good communication skills and ability to work well in a team; and
  • Previous work experience in DRAM memory-related fields
  • Basic understanding of CMOS circuit design

 

Education

Bachelors or Post Graduate Degree in Electronics Engineering or related engineering field required.
