As a CAD Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be working in a fast-paced, collaborative, production support role evaluating, developing, enhancing, and debugging both in-house and commercial EDA tools and flows for the design, physical layout, and verification of CMOS integrated circuits.

 

You are responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 

  • Developing tools, flows, and methodologies to increase the productivity and reliability of our DRAM designs
  • Writing DRC and LVS rules and generators for physical design verification
  • Debugging and optimizing layout verification tools and flows for highly complex memory designs
  • Providing training, documentation, and support to end-users on new tools and methods
  • Working closely with design and process teams

 

Successful candidates will have the following:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. 5+ years of industry experience is preferred
  • Excellent programming fundamentals are required
  • Experience with Unix and shell scripting is required
  • Experience with Calibre DRC, LVS, and RVE is required
  • Experience writing and debugging DRC/LVS SVRF rule decks is required
  • Good knowledge of CMOS circuit and deep submicron physical design, as well as CMOS process manufacturing and layout rules required
  • In-depth experience with Python and Python QT language is preferred
  • In-depth experience in the SKILL programming language is preferred
  • Recent and relevant experience in C, C++, JAVA, Visual Basic, Perl, or Lisp will be considered
  • Experience with some of the following areas is preferred: SPF extraction, Floorplanning, Automated Place and Route and Reliability
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills are required
