Managed NAND Design Integration Engineer (Shanghai)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

As an Integration Engineer for Micron's Managed Memory Design Group, you will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and evaluating new Mobile host chipsets and customer hardware platforms. Analysis will cover the areas of performance, power, behavior, controller, media, and firmware.  In this position you will work with and support the efforts of groups such as Systems Architecture, Product Design, Firmware Development, Product Validation, and Systems compatibility. Projects are typically focused on products and markets in which Micron directly competes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Advance analysis of upcoming features including both controller and system level for early enablement and design/architecture impact assessment, and work with related teams to close the potential gaps
  • System level function bring up, characterization and analysis of performance, power and behavior
  • Controller side function validation and communication to supplier for issue fix
  • System level failure analysis
  • Development of software and other tools needed for system level characterization and analysis or for validation purpose
  • Publish results of analysis projects and alert interested parties of critical information

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good knowhow of Android or Linux kernel source code level with develop/debug experience
  • Good knowledge of mobile controller especially communication protocol between controller and memory
  • Familiarity of OS architecture
  • Firmware knowledge will be a great plus.
  • Programming experience using C or C++ on real projects. Python experience will be a plus
  • Experience using protocol analyzers, high speed oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
  • Managed memory, or solid state storage development experience
  • A high level of attention to detail

EDUCATION:

  • MS+ in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • 3+ years working experience
