Job Description

As a SpecTek Operator at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for operating, maintaining equipment and ensuring quality of process and product.

In this role you will need to troubleshoot problems with equipment/product by prioritizing alarms, logging the machines when necessary and communicating to the appropriate personnel. Other responsibilities include contributing to the safe work environment by following safety procedures and promptly reporting identified hazards.

 

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

     

Operate And Maintain Equipment

 

·  Bring up equipment in efficient manner.

 

·  Perform standard functions on area equipment/tools.

 

·  Maintain area product/process knowledge.

 

·  Demonstrate ability to use computer-based programs and applications to perform daily job duties.

 

·  Demonstrate effective efficiency and multi-tasking skills.

 

·  Communicate equipment and process problems to area personnel.

 

·  Monitor and operate multiple tools.

 

·  Identify when equipment/tools require technical support.

 

·  Remain productive during idle times by seeking out projects or additional tasks.

 

·  Follow priorities and manage time effectively.

     

Promote And Support Teamwork

 

·  Share area information.

 

·  Assist others in completing projects and/or activities as needed.

 

·  Support change management.

 

·  Participate in meetings with a positive and constructive attitude.

     

Troubleshoot Problems With Equipment, Processes, And Product

 

·  Determine when equipment conversions are needed.

 

·  Log equipment state accurately in ETI when necessary.

 

·  Apply problem solving techniques using available tools and resources to suggest solution to area, process, or product non-conforming issues.

     

Contribute To Area Quality

 

·  Communicate ideas and participate in activities to improve processes, quality, and equipment.

 

·  Promote quality standards for products and processes.

 

·  Display strong attention to detail when verifying, tracking, or processing product.

 

·  Prevent scrap by using proper handling methods when working with or transporting product.

 

·  Raise awareness of handling or incoming product issues.

 

·  Verify lot information and accuracy when tracking.

     

Participate in Performance Management

 

·  Perform job tasks at or above expectations.

 

·  Accept responsibility and be accountable for performance.

 

·  Activity review annual appraisal and identify areas for improvements.

 

·  Monitor performance and development goals with documented progress.

Support And Perform EHSS Responsibilities

 

·  Identify and promptly report any conditions or behaviors that are contrary to EHS policies or procedures.

 

·  Follow safety procedures and area work rules (including use of proper PPE, energy isolation, and chemical safety).

 

·  Operate and maintain equipment and tools within manufacturer and company guidelines.

 

·  Use proper lifting techniques and work in an ergonomically correct manner.

 

·  Cooperate with all audits.

   

 

Education

Required

 

High School Diploma

·  General Studies

   
     

 

Experience

 

Desired

 

1 year experience in any of the following:

·  Customer Service

 

·  Production/Manufacturing

 

·  Semiconductor Manufacturing

 
 

 

Qualifications

   
 

·  Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others.

 
 

·  Ability to work with Microsoft Office programs at a beginning to intermediate level.

 
 

·  Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member.

 
 

·  Demonstrated organizational, time management, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

 
 

·  Must possess general math skills (basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division; basic operation of calculators).

Physical Requirements

·  Extended periods of working at computers and with other electronic equipment. Lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis. Be able to stand for long periods of time. Perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
