Sourcing Risk Reduction, Sr. Program Manager

As a Sourcing Risk Reduction Program Manager for Micron Technology, you will be responsible that supplier risks are identified, communicated, mitigation prioritized, and progress made to decrease risk. You will partner with various supplier management stakeholders and on occasion will work directly with the supplier to develop improvement plans.  You will assure accurate design and tracking of the program and processes are in place, and will provide regular communication and updates to leadership and stakeholders. The Sourcing Risk Reduction Sr. Program Manager will be the subject matter expert, data owner and primary business contact for Global Supplier Risk reduction & mitigation program. 

 

 

Role Responsibilities & Tasks

 

Process Improvement

  • Partner with the business to define opportunities to improve, develop, refine, and unify processes &  systems on a global level
  • Gather input into functional requirements and specifications
  • Plan and manage process model development, internal and external research, best practices research and “to-be” and ‘as-is” processes
  • Use process improvement principles to achieve significant improvement results Models requirements as user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Consult on systems, process and change-related challenges
  • Guide and leads implementation efforts to align with requirements
  • Measure and document improvements realized from implemented changes
  • Primary coordinator for auditing Supply Chain methods and processes, validate processes, guide auditor through process steps and facilitate an action plan to address audit findings

 

Business Partnering

  • Manage roadmap within the function
  • Engage stakeholders to drive results as managed/documented on road map
  • Perform as a change agent, assess change readiness and prepare plans for helping business stakeholders through change.
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen business relationships
  • Assists in the facilitation of meetings, decision making and conflict resolution. Activities include providing purpose, agenda, timeframes, and delegation of action items, collection, management and distribution of meeting documentation.

 

Planning, Execution and Governance

  • Lead cross-functional teams (Procurement, Supply chain, Manufacturing, Quality and Compliance) to facilitate process understanding, identify processes weaknesses, gaps, and interdependencies to drive continuous process & system improvements
  • Maintain awareness of project deadlines and schedules; meets deadlines
  • Partner with business function to facilitate and define organizational and cultural changes required.
  • Partner with business function to develop training, documentation and presentations
  • Communicate and ensure all levels of the business are made aware of Supply Chain potential threats, events and crisis.
  • Establishing a portfolio of prioritized risk reduction projects  and ensuring the execution of those projects.
  • Develop and deploy roadmap and scope.

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to influence & lead without authority
  • Prior experience in at least one or more successful implementations in a cross functional global environment
  • Experienced in facilitating complex, global multi-stakeholder meetings and driving results and decisions
  • Presenting in front of senior leadership teams
  • Experience in managing large projects
  • Comfortable to maintain and work with a large network of people from different functions
  • Using Project Management principles (PMP, CMPM, other)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of the Supply Chain and Supplier Risk

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years' related experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing planning, semiconductor manufacturing,
    Information Systems, , Manufacturing Integration, Financial Analysis, Sales, or Marketing
  • Possess an in depth understanding of the business
