Job Description
As a Product Compliance Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and providing end product material documentation and environmental compliance information for Micron system level products to Microns external customers. You will interact with the EICC (Electronic Industry Citizen Coalition) to manage requests, collect and upload Code of Conduct related data, and provide information to both internal and external parties. You will also coordinate and maintain safety and electromagnetic interference (EMI) certifications and associated documentation. In this role, you will work with external customers and vendors, as well as Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS), Quality Assurance (QA), and Business Units to support or coordinate audits, manage materials testing and reports, and interpret or implement customer specifications and industry regulatory requirements. You will be expected to monitor and review global compliance regulations through EIATRACK (Environmental Intelligence Analysis), conferences, and work groups and respond to changes as applicable.
 
Responsibilities and Tasks
 
Provide External Customer Communication for End Product Material Information
 
  • Support customer audits
 
  • Provide certification and information via external web site (micron.com)
 
  • Provide compliance certifications via QA Request System
 
  • Create and provide Material Declarations
 
  • Respond to conflict metals questions and requests
 
Coordinate EICC Code of Conduct Related Information and Documentation
 
  • Collect Micron site information (labor, environmental, and HR) and complete Site Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) documentation
 
  • Upload information into E-TASC and EICC-ON online systems
 
  • Manage direct requests from the EICC body and provide input
 
  • Support third party EICC VAP (Validated Audit Processes) audits
 
Perform Safety Certification for System Level Products
 
  • Collect product and corresponding product documentation
 
  • Send to certification body (UL, TUV) for analysis
 
  • Receive, maintain, and distribute certificates
 
Coordinate Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Certification for Governing Bodies
 
  • Receive and submit external EMI test reports to governing bodies
 
  • Create and maintain Declarations of Conformity
 
  • Provide certifications per request
 
Review and Implement Customer Specifications for Environmental Compliance
 
  • Review customer specifications against internal QA procedures
 
  • Create review notices with exceptions
 
  • Implement customer specific requirements as applicable
 
Send Samples for Environmental Testing to External Labs
 
  • Collect and send material to be tested annually
 
  • Submit test results to the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) compliance group
 
Coordinate Onsite Safety Audits Globally
 
  • Escort third party auditors during onsite visits
 
  • Provide support and documentation and follow-up on variances
 
  • Coordinate and facilitate cost center payments through Purchasing
 
Provide Consultation Regarding Environmental Requirements
 
  • Provide new Business Units with environmental requirements
 
  • Assist with questions related to implementation
 
  • Interpret industry regulatory requirements as they pertain to Micron products
 
Monitor Compliance Regulations
 
  • Monitor changes through EIATRACK (Environmental Intelligence Analysis) subscription, conferences, and work groups
 
  • Review legislative, industry, customer, and third party regulations
