OCT Workforce Development Engineer

As a Workforce Development Engineer in Operations Central Team (OCT) Workforce Development Team at Micron Technology, Inc., you will provide support to OCT, worldwide Operations and the Micron global training and documentation network regarding strategy, programs, processes, systems, and tools.


Direct responsibilities include but are not limited to support of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of OCT and global documentation and training business needs. You may also facilitate department orientation, maintain training records, materials, and forms, maintain document types, and instruct classes and workshops as needed.


You can expect to process documentation and training requests, conduct needs analyses, determine alignment with the business needs of the organization, and create appropriate interventions. In this role, you will identify deliverables, establish timelines and the allocation of resources, create deployment plans, and conduct evaluation measures to determine effectiveness. An assignment may be at the individual level or working with a global team.  Training, coaching, and offering expertise to other team members is a requirement. A high degree of initiative and accountability is necessary to be successful in this challenging work environment.

Successful candidates for this position will have the following:

•Ability to communicate effectively at different audience levels from new Micron personnel to technical experts to senior managers •Experience in the Micron manufacturing environment •Skills to effectively develop and deliver technical information in a classroom and online environments •Strong project and program management, business process, meeting facilitation and team leadership skills •Strong communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills •Proficiency in problem solving •Excellent multi-tasking proficiency •Ability to self-motivate with a desire for continuous improvement.

•Experience with manufacturing software systems such as MES Central, MAM, GeRM, and ECN is preferred



Bachelor's Degree or emphasis in any of the following:

• Engineering

• Education Leadership/Adult Learning

• Organizational Leadership/Design

• Instructional Performance Technology

• Related field of study



5 years experience in any of the following:

• Training/Development/Education

• Documentation

• Engineering
