OCT Product Owner - Cycle Time Value System (CTVS)

As a Product Owner you are responsible for collaboratively developing the product vision and roadmap, and aligning with the needs and objectives of our company and our clients. The Product Owner must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy: a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. In this role you will be expected to develop a deep understanding of our software products and services, our industry, and the challenges that our customers face.
The product owner is working with the Project Managers from different projects supporting the Big Rock PAC, and helps determine priorities across the different projects in order to communicate with the Value Stream. Part of the product owner responsibilities is to have a vision of what he or she wishes to build, and convey that vision to the scrum team. This is key to successfully starting any agile software development project. The agile product owner does this in part through the product backlog, which is a prioritized features list for the different products.
To be successful you must have strong experience working with different people at all levels to achieve measurable results. You must also have demonstrated the ability to repeatedly overcome significant challenges and setbacks while maintaining professionalism and rapport with your team.
 
Responsibilities: 
• Create the Product Vision: The product vision statement is a quick summary to communicate how your product supports the company's or organization's strategies. The vision statement must articulate the goals for the product.
• Identify & Collaborate with Stakeholders to receive feedback and inform the Value Stream team using the Product Backlog
• Develop Epics & Personas
• Create and maintain the Product Backlog. Decompose Epics into User Stories which have clearly understood and defined business value.
• Facilitate Release Planning
• Collaborate with the Team to communicate the “What” of user stories and clarify any questions during the sprint
• Participate in Sprint Planning (lead first half), daily standups if possible, Sprint Review, and Sprint Demo (Lead the demo in partnership with the team).
• Owning the Product Backlog and Prioritize with information and feedback they receive from the stakeholders
• Being a key non-core member of the Agile Team or maximizing the value of the team’s work
• Work with project managers to estimate durations and timelines to support project planning
 
Requirements : 
• 4+ years of experience in an Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Information Technology, Operations Improvement, or similar role
• Ability to logically analyze a problem and break it into solvable pieces
• Ability to prioritize work across different disciplines in a dynamic environment
• Proven ability to facilitate discussions with business stakeholders and technologists
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strategic thinking
• Able to effectively work independently and as part of a team
 
Working Location :
* Team member will work from current working location, Manassa or Boise or Lehi or TW or SG
