As a Director, Product Marketing II - Mobile Business Unit (MBU) at Micron, you will be responsible for planning, executing and directing product marketing programs, projects, roadmaps and teams that promote and support Micron’s strategic objectives for the mobile market segment. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure programs, projects and product positioning/promotion have specific, measurable, actionable, relevant and timely deliverables that comply with relevant financial guidelines and legal requirements that also serve to maintain and develop MBU’s strategic presence in the market.

Responsibility 1: MBU Marketing/Communications

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute product branding campaigns, Business Unit messaging, collateral and creation that support mission critical strategies
- Analyze trends and stakeholder/participant feedback to identify opportunities and gaps for future development through comprehensive competitive product analysis
- Provide subject matter expertise, guidance and recommendations to internal stakeholders to identify and execute stakeholder support and delivery enhancements

Responsibility 2: Competitive Analysis

- Collect, synthesize and analyze business intelligence data to evaluate competitive market strategies through analysis of related product/market/consumer share trends to support recommendations for action
- Develop sales and marketing tools using comprehensive business judgment based on competitive positioning of Micron’s product portfolio in the mobile market segment
- Translate complex analysis into well-structured and comprehensible presentations and recommendations for corporate communication and marketing initiatives
- Provide actionable consultation to key stakeholders that communicate the importance customer insight and user experience in order to influence strategic marketing initiatives

Responsibility 3: Field Training

- Formulate, direct and coordinate strategic training activities to promote products, services and customer-experience based on marketing analytics and critical business objectives, identifying gaps for future consideration
- Provide training and development plans and materials based on identified gaps in trends, best practices, tools, and applications

- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and/or monitor current and potential training opportunities, utilizing business intelligence tools, dashboards, databases, methods, systems, and applications

Location: This position may be based in either San Jose, or Folsom, CA

Successful candidates for this position will have the following:

Qualifications:

- Minimum 10 years product marketing and planning, or related experience, in the memory industry
- Minimum 5 years experience leading teams & managing global resources
- In-depth knowledge of memory sub-systems, technologies and markets
- Ability to understand mobile systems interoperability and application usage
- Established network of contacts with key OEMs and the Mobile industry
- Ability to thoroughly analyze marketing data and present it to a variety of stakeholders in a digestible & influential format
- Ability to influence and drive key decisions of customer support strategy
- Demonstrated proficiency in written, verbal and virtual communication techniques and strategy
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams both internally and externally
- Ability to cultivate relationships with people of diverse backgrounds
- Travel up to 25% (domestically and internationally) may be required

Education:

- BS or MBA in relevant discipline with a minimum of 10 years industry experience in Strategic Marketing/Planning or Product/Segment Marketing
