Job Description

 

As a MSB Process Integration ADT Engineer you will be responsible to ensure new products are able to ramp up smoothly from LVM to HVM stage in assembly. At low volume manufacturing, set up check point or collect extra data to review and report weekly data to resolving manufacturing line problems. You will also be taking additional role within ADT organisation not restricted to ADT process owner, ADT planning or ADT material engineering.   

 

You will be the core team member in phase gate review and facilitate operation team members like planning, production, equipment support & process team during LVM phase to pass down lesson learnt from NPI to HVM team. This PI team will also involve in the Initial phase to arrange and plan for DOE runs during FUT.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

 

Execute smooth transfer of new products and packages from NPI to LVM to HVM site

Work with cross functional team to facilitate smooth products transfer to HVM team

Validate and document baseline the POR, TOR and BOM for the transferred products and packages

Identify early ramp-up issues and develop plan to resolve them to enable smooth product ramp-up.

Participate in process optimization to resolve early ramp up issue.

 

Enable smooth product ramp up

Participate in process and material optimization to drive best in class packaging solutions for HVM ramp. Provide ideas for cost reduction.

Participate in the Phase gate 3.0 review to understand NPI issues and provide feedback to getting them resolved before production ramp.

Lead Task Force comprises of NPI engineers, process engineers and operations team in resolving ramp up issues

Review SPC and FMEA for new products with NPI and process team

Maintain in-depth process knowledge

Maintain materials and equipment knowledge as it relates to the process and how they interact

Optimize process and/or equipment variables

Identify all process variables

Perform containment of process and equipment deviations

Apply DOE (Design of Experiments) techniques

Determine root cause and implement corrective actions

 

Get production line ready to support new product ramp

Lead the qualification of new eqpt platform to enable smooth production ramp up

Ensure lesson learn and special control measure from new packaging qual is

 

Help in Training Requirements for New Product

Participate in review of the training materials and training content from NPI for operators and ES team

Provide feedback to improve the training from operations perspective

Coordinate the training schedule base on operation’s need for operator and ES team. Training to be conducted by ADT engineers

Review OJT material with ADT team and mfg trainers

Arrange with mfg for initial batch of TTT (train-the-trainer) for Operators Training

 

ADT Process owner / Planning / Material Engineer 

 A portion of the time of the time spend as a Process owner / Planning / Material Characterization

 

 

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

 

Experience Required

At least 1 year in Assembly Backend Engineering
