JOB SUMMARY

As a Facilities Operation & Maintenance Section Manager, you will manage the operation of all buildings and facilities systems on site. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to leading a site team of engineers to oversee the operations, maintenance, and engineering aspects for mechanical, electrical, chemical/gas, UPW, waste water and controls systems. You will also oversee the Facilities Control Room and lead a team of contracted shift technicians and operations, to be the first-line response and troubleshooting of all site wide events occurs in Facility systems on a 24/7 basis. You will report to the site Facilities Manager, and coordinates activities with production and other facilities groups to ensure minimal impacts to manufacturing. You will be responsible to interface with internal manufacturing customers, outside governmental agencies and other internal groups related to your area of responsibility.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure operation compliance with internal standards and local codes with optimize efficiency for plant operation and minimal interruptions on production.
• Establish standards and policies for the installation, modification, quality control, testing, operating procedure and inspection of plant support systems.
• Track the servicing, troubleshooting, modification and repair of all plant support systems and components back into operations.
• Provide operational input on requirements for new system designs and system expansions.
• Estimate costs and maintain budgets for services, operating spares and consumables for operations related function.
• Establish and regularly measure performance metrics for Facilities. Key KPI includes Operations and Cost.
• Coordinate the review of METS and drive resolution to long-term solutions. Follow up on incident reports or near misses and ensure closure for containment, preventive & corrective actions.
• Manage the Site Incident Prevention Program (SIPP) Program with MFG and Planning team, to coordinate for production window for FAC activities
• Coordinate and manage all Facilities work through Work Permit System
• Manage site Business Continuity Program (BCP), to ensure business continuity in event of site crisis events.
• Represent site as Ops PAC representative, and interface regularly with corporate resources and other organizations to ensure best practices are shared and incorporated.
• Develop performance plans for all direct employees and conduct performance evaluations.
• Oversee employee development by providing resources for job tasks and training.
• Establish and clearly communicate goals, expectations and directions for the group.
• Proactively promote safety priorities and standards and provide appropriate training.
• Manage conflict when necessary and conduct disciplinary actions, terminations and commendations

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:
• Bachelors degree in engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.

 

Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
• Minimum 5 years facilities experience with 2 years supervisory experience
• Broad background in operations and maintenance of various facilities systems and extensive knowledge of plant equipment/systems and processes
• Must have strong understanding of the impacts on manufacturing, facilities environments and personnel resulting from actions taken on facilities equipment/system
• Must have good computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and the ability to manage and direct both internal and external resources
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, and have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and presentation skills
• Essential that you have strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate in teams, work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and make decisions with minimal guidance or counseling
