Job Description

As a Workforce Development Specialist in Engineering team, you will be responsible for providing training, development and education solutions. You will be required to administer process and systems, support customer requests as well as lead and participate in Projects. In this role you will be working with various teams from across the company.


Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Provide Training, Development, and Education Solutions
  • Perform training needs analysis
  • Design and develop solution to meet training needs
  • Evaluate solution effectiveness and make appropriate adjustments
  • Provide instruction, facilitation, or presentations


Administer Processes and Systems

  • Administer and manage systems for supporting training, development, and education
  • Establish and apply standards for maintaining employee training records
  • Provide training reports


Support Customer Requests

  • Act as a consultant or liaison to customers as appropriate or where applicable
  • Assist customers in developing training and managing training records
  • Provide process facilitation based on customer request
  • Provide information regarding existing training materials and documentation
  • Work with support personnel in other departments to reach common solutions where possible
  • Advise operative workforce regarding career paths, development, and education options
  • Partner with internal and external workgroups to assess performance improvement needs
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts
  • Build and maintain relationships with various levels of department leadership and intra- and inter-departmental peers 


Lead and Participate in Projects

  • Perform needs analysis on support requests or projects
  • Participate in project definition
  • Execute to project plan
  • Escalate risks and issues
  • Communicate project status and goals with appropriate contact
  • Evaluate project effectiveness



  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field
  • 3 years of experience in engineering processes and systems, or operations and project management. Candidate with experience in program management will be an advantage.
  • Honesty & integrity with high standard of ethics is critical
  • Skills in training course design and development
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and fluent in English and Malay, written and verbal translation skills (Malay<>English) are preferred.
  • Have strong crisis/emergency handling and problem solving skills
  • Able to collaborate effectively and drive results across multi-functional group
