System Architecture Engineer Intern

As a member of our 3DXP media system engineering team, you will help design our next generation memory system to accelerate the computation in data centers. You will have dynamic, multi-faceted responsibilities in areas such as project definition, design, and implementation. You will participate in the design, architecture, documentation, and implementation of the cutting-edge memory and storage solutions.


Internship Responsibilities:

  • Research, conceive, and develop system modeling about CPU, memory and storage system, and hardware accelerating engines.
  • Translate high-level architecture descriptions into software based model that accurately estimates the performance and power behavior.
  • Identify hardware and software performance bottlenecks. Work closely with architecture, micro-architecture team in identification of solutions.
  • Run and analyze workloads on simulators as well as work on developing and automating performance analysis infrastructure.


Required Qualifications:

  • Solid research expertise in Computer Architecture, and Memory hierarchies.
  • Research on Non-Volatile Memory System Design, Heterogeneous Memory Management, Remote Memory Access, FPGA or Programmable Accelerators for Data Processing, Multi-Core Systems, Scalable Parallel Computing, or related field.
  • Experience working in a performance modeling environment.
  • Implementation skills with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: C/C++, Python, Java, Go, Matlab, …
  • Good problem solving skills to prove your own ideas.
  • Currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
