As a Senior Systems Architect within the 3DXP Media System Engineering at Micron, you will be responsible for defining hardware and firmware architecture development for new emerging NVM based products.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Media system architecture development: translating algorithms to hardware and firmware architecture
  • Develop performance modeling platform to guild, analyze, and verify architecture design
  • Hardware and firmware co-development on media controller architecture
  • Defining hardware and firmware specifications
  • Hardware micro-architecture in data path, buffer management, error correction, and MCU
  • RTL development and validation on hardware modules
  • Hardware and firmware architecture prototyping and validation at system level


Required qualifications:

  • Technical expertise in hardware and firmware architecture for Storage and memory systems
  • Extensive experience with Storage controller backend (media) and FTL development
  • Experience in hardware architecture design, micro-architecture, and RTL design
  • Expertise in error correction coding (BCH, RS, and LDPC), information theory, and signal processing
  • Experience with performance modeling and analysis
  • Understanding of NVM media device such as NAND flash memory or other new emerging memory technology is a plus
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Matlab, Python
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM, and ASIC/FPGA Flow
  • Innovative problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and cross-functional teamwork
  • MS degree in Electrical Engineering (or related fields) with 7+ years of industry experience or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering (or related fields) with 3+ years of industry experience.
