Roles & Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for a team of firmware developers focused on next generation SSD controller development for the client SSD space. Specifically, your team will be developing PCIe based NAND controllers for the latest optimized Flash technology and other volatile and non-volatile memory technology.


As we grow our business we have an increasing focus on the efficiency and consistency of our development practices, tools, techniques and internal product architectures across our development teams. In this role it is your responsibility to establish this team, grow it in size and maturity and then optimize its operation.


This is a key role in advancing our overall business with wide ranging impact across our organization and company.



This position requires 20+ years relevant industry experience, 8+ years of which should be direct SSD product development and delivery experience.


  • Director or senior management experience of leading a distributed team
  • Experience of working in a sophisticated technology company
  • Experience of the storage industry, in SSD, HDD, storage systems or a related technology
  • Understanding of storage interfaces including ideally PCIe/NVMe, AHCI, SATA,

Experience with advanced NAND flash and other non-volatile storage

  • In depth experience of software and firmware development methodologies
  • Practical experience in the project management of firmware and software
  • Knowledge of current state of the art development tools and their real world application



  • BSEE or equivalent required
