As a Channel Marketing Manager at Micron, you will execute channel marketing strategies to drive profitable growth for our B2B resell partners. You will be responsible for executing marketing programs with our customers, optimizing marketing spend, and ensuring maximum return on investment.  You will work closely with our channel sales, product marketing, and marketing communication teams to develop and execute channel specific marketing activities. You will be directly responsible for MDF marketing plans, channel demand generation, product launch activities, sales promotions and events, partner portal management, and partner communications.  Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capability into customer benefits are crucial in this role. In this position, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build and execute go-to-market strategies aligned to business objectives

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Drive ongoing communications with channel partners including, but not limited to:
    • Customer and Partner promotions
    • channel incentive programs
    • lead-generation activities
  • Management of channel incentives (SPIFFs) and partner MDF programs
  • Engage partner marketing teams to create best in class marketing plans.
  • Work closely with marcom, regional channel marketing, web teams and product marketing on development and production of partner enablement tools and other campaign-related content. Need to generate promotion ideas.
  • Collateral development – drive creation of channel specific collateral pulling content from different product and marketing teams. 
  • Sales enablement- communicate the value of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products
  • Market intelligence- be the expert on our customers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to win
  • Evaluate and track competitive channel marketing programs and best practices to ensure Micron’s channel strategies are competitive and align to industry trends

 

Qualifications

  • 8 or more years experience in marketing, and/or sales in storage or other high- tech related field with proven track record of successfully taking new products to market, driving market share growth, and producing profitable revenue
  • Background in design, collateral creation preferred.
  • The ability to build relationships with peers, sales, resellers, and customers
  • Self starter who can create a comprehensive marketing strategy and still be willing to do whatever it takes to implement that strategy
  • Experience putting on events a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including presenting to senior management
  • Demonstrated business acumen and critical thinking skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and working across multiple locations
  • Ability to travel as required

 

Education

BS or BA degree in Business/Marketing
