Photo Shift Process Technician

As Shift Process Technician at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for monitoring, supporting and coordination of tool processes in their assigned area while working in partnership with production team members and area engineers.  
 
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Developing, maintaining and monitoring reports, Special Work Requests (SWRs) and data summaries of process related information as well as quickly resolving basic process problems. 
  • Assisting with process optimization, testing, creating and modifying process related procedures, disposition lots and increasing tool availability through systematic problem solving.
  • Monitoring, analyzing and addressing SPC issues for area processes on a daily basis and assisting with SPC out of control issues.
  • Keeping the Lead Tech and/or Lead Engineer updated on area issues and supporting additional engineering functions as needed.
  • Completing all required safety training and conducting all work in a safe manner.

 

Successful candidates for this position will have:
  • Basic understanding and proper application of SPC principles.
  • Basic to intermediate data extraction, analysis and reporting skills.
  • Solid time management, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot basic issues related to process flows.
  • Basic understanding of mathematical concepts and problem solving at least into an algebraic level.
  • Basic PC skills including MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability in multi-tasking complex projects.
  • The ability to be flexible with job responsibilities and take the initiative to assume added responsibilities.
  • Successfully demonstrated teamwork skills with a strong focus on effective team dynamics.
  • The ability and willingness to be flexible to work any shift and rotate shifts as needed.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of semiconductor equipment and processes.
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • The following skills, knowledge or abilities are also preferred:
    • Basic understanding of physics concepts and principles.
    • Basic knowledge of chemistry concepts and principles.
    • Basic to intermediate knowledge of the specific area equipment and processes.
 
Education:
Associate's degree in an Electronics related field or equivalent experience.
