OCT Operation Improvement (OI) Engineer

As a WW OI Engineer within OCT OI organization, you will be responsible for driving global customers’ requirements of site scheduling/dispatching, reporting/metrics, and automation activities.
You will be responsible for working with site OI teams to ensure systems and processes are aligned that meet the needs of each site’s requirements. OCT OI team is responsible for operations optimization and overall manufacturing efficiency.


Roles and Responsibilities:
You will regularly work with Micron’s OI and ME network to ensure solutions meet or exceed customer requirements.
As part of your responsibilities you will be required to:

  • Facilitate global OI system CST meeting like GHOST, Line Prioritization, Reporting alignment and provide internal BKM solutions
  • Provide technical solutions and direction of operations KPI metrics and reports
  • Enable an environment for WW project idea generation amongst the global OI, ME, SIC, and IE community
  • Design and develop new metrics for reporting data
  • Work closely with site scheduling and automation team to align business processes and drive BKM sharing and deployment
  • Work with WWME, SIC, IE to support global projects like CTPAC, MaxOut projects to drive CT, output improvement, manufacturing efficiency.
  • Maintain global KPI reporting and metrics 
  • Building trust-based relationships within the team and across networks 
     

Requirements :

  • Strong technical knowledge in scheduling, dispatching, automation, and reporting/metrics
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with logical approach
  • Ability to make decisions in complex situations
  • Experience with RTD, ToolView, Simulation, SQL, GHOST scheduling system
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer/peer relationships
  • The proven ability in multi-tasking and prioritizing complex projects
  • The proven ability and willingness to continuously learn and improve skills
  • Root Cause and Critical Thinking skills
  • Able and willing to travel overseas (minimum 25% or higher)
  • Strong skills in decision-making, prioritization and negotiation
  • Passion and accountability for the environment you will be responsible for
  • Masters/Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, other technical disciplines or equivalent work experience
