Intern - Diffusion Process Engineer

As a Diffusion Engineering Intern at Micron Technology, Inc., you will support processes and equipment used in the Fab 6 300mm Diffusion Process area. Micron's Intern positions are designed to give Engineering students a real-life introduction to the semiconductor industry through a variety of roles and projects. After spending some time becoming familiar with the day to day operations of the area, you will work with engineers to develop and setup fault detection strategies around predictive signals for our processes and equipment to improve quality and throughput.  With guidance, you will take on several projects to support the continuous improvement of the Diffusion area.

 

As a Diffusion Engineering Intern at Micron, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the setup and error checking of E3 Fault Detection equipment model coverage for the area
  • Support the area rollout of Equipment Failure Mode Effect Analysis (eFMEA)
  • Support the error checking, and rollout completion of the new web based reaction mechanism and product disposition document
  • Support the qualification and data analysis of any tool install qualifications
  • Collecting, documenting, and analyzing data from testing or experiments conducted in the area

 

Qualifications:

Successful candidate must have:

  • PC skills gained through academic coursework or experience in MS Excel, Word, and OneNote.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good oral and written communication, problem solving, teamwork and consensus building skills
  • Ideal candidate will have experience or coursework with SharePoint Designer to assist with the reaction mechanism migration project
  • The ability to commit to a 6 or 9 month assignment.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

 

Education:

  • Pursuing a BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline.

**This is a paid position and is offered for a 6 to 9-month period depending on candidate's availability.
