Job Description

The position of Engineering Systems Manager is responsible for working with leadership teams to manage projects, including communication and change management. The systems manager is responsible for providing systems support to Engineering team such as Technical Workforce Development, Productivities improvement, cost saving, Quality Program and Automation. This also includes the systems readiness on Engineering reports. Workforce development will be under systems to support quality trained people to Engineering team. Quality improvements thru cultural changes and CIPs in Engineering activities. Automation to enable MMY towards moving into state of art on manufacturing.

 

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

 

Initiate and Plan Projects

· Define scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders

· Define alignment of projects to company strategic objectives

· Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents

· Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals

· Define metrics using appropriate data sources to track project success

· Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools

· Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel

· Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle

· Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas

 

Execute, Monitor/Control and Close Projects

· Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis

· Determine and assess need for additional resources during the project cycle

· Identify and manage project dependencies

· Track project milestones and deliverables

· Manage changes in project scope

· Identify potential crises, and develop and execute resolution plans

· Facilitate projects to sustaining mode or close out projects

 

Manage Project Team(s)

· Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team

· Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders

· Coach, mentor, motivate project team members

· Provide recognition for progress and project member contributions

 

Improve Project Management Processes

· Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations based on successful and unsuccessful project elements

· Identify and implement best practices, and use experience to evolve internal processes

· Ensure alignment of project management business processes with CPMO team

· Promote Project Management value and business practices to the organization

· Provide Project Management Expertise

 

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCY:

  • 7 years of experience in engineering processes and systems, or operations and project management. Candidate with experience in semicon assembly is a must.
  • Honesty & integrity with high standard of ethics is critical;
  • Have strong crisis/emergency handling and problem solving skills;
  • Able to collaborate effectively and drive results across multi-functional groups;
  • Managerial experience is a must for the position.
  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field
