Location: Boise, ID, US

Company: Micron

One of Micron’s core values centers around the customer.  The Global Marketing team is very interested in building customer loyalty to Micron and our products.  To do this, we need to deliver the right products that help customers solve their business and technology problems.  To do this successfully a number of people in the SBU will spend time meeting and talking with customers and gathering valuable insights and feedback that needs to be incorporated into the product roadmap and into the entire experience that our customers have with Micron.  There will be a new Voice of the Customer Initiative that will be rolled out in the SBU in early spring of 2018.  The marketing intern will work with the Product Marketing team to ensure this program is implemented in a way that allows us to leverage and utilize these customer inputs.

Goal: The goal of this project is to ensure the VOC program is fully implemented and to recommend pilot programs we can test to see how Micron outreach can increase sales and customer loyalty.

Key activities include:

  • Understand Micron’s current VOC program
  • Review Micron and (primary) marketing information on these target audiences including recent persona research and online resources
  • Find out what is working and what needs to be modified to optimize the VOC program
  • Develop a plan for how we will communicate with customers to increase sales and customer loyalty during important milestones including:
    • Product launches
    • Promotional campaigns
    • Customer events and trade shows
  • Ensure metrics are in place to measure the effectiveness of various campaigns

Create a summary report of findings and recommendations including a 2019 calendar of activities and customer communication.
