Asia Diversity and Inclusion Manager

Role Accountabilities:

Help create and drive the strategy, planning, development, implementation and administration of Micron’s Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) effort in our Asia region, and ensure its alignment to overall business goals

Develop focused interventions in the areas of recruiting, retention, rewards, training, development and engagement that address the unique challenge of specific countries, cultures and/or office locations. Support ongoing interventions and programs

Project manage D&I interventions and campaigns

Build relationships with stakeholders to create awareness, support and advocacy for D&I efforts

Keep updated and educate stakeholders on global, regional and country-specific best practices for fostering a fair and inclusive work environment

Develop and track targeted metrics

Assist in developing metrics to measure impact, ROI and accountability, and any other measures designed to assess program effectiveness against established goals

Collaborate with D&I team, HR and other internal partners to create and ensure a common D&I message and accountability, particularly across the Asia region, for fostering a fair and inclusive work environment

Assist in developing D&I brand into the core employee brand marketing platform, including the employee value proposition

Provide input into and analysis of staff surveys that assess D&I and engagement perceptions and experiences

Assist in designing and delivering tailored inclusion-related training

Capabilities/Competencies:

Strategy design, program development and management

Ability to lead and manage complex projects across multiple departments and countries through influence

Ability to balance and align needs of business and D&I efforts

Strong background in linking business and other strategic organizational goals

Strong emotional intelligence

Ability to translate D&I concepts into impactful messages and metrics that are relevant across businesses and geographies

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to interpret data analytics, and draw interpretations and insights from which to make recommendations

Strong consulting skills with ability to discern needs of business and connect to D&I goals and efforts

Ability to work cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization

Knowledge of diversity and inclusion concepts and ROI measurements

Strong business acumen (including external markets)

Change leadership and change management skills

Resilient and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; delivery-focused with significant drive and energy

Strong written and verbal communication skills

High tolerance for ambiguity and a continuous-learning mindset

 

Education and experience:

 

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree

Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing and implementing D&I, HR and/or change-related efforts

What are our typical language requirements for a manager role?

Fluency in D&I concepts, frameworks and approaches

Working knowledge of D&I and/or talent issues in various Asia locations, including Singapore, Japan, China, Malaysia and South Korea

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a remote team

This position will require travel.
