Job Description

As the manager of Quality Engineering Management (M3), you are responsible for creating and continuously improving the performance of the Product Quality and Reliability Assurance, Process Control System, Metrology, Change Management, Quality Management System, Incoming Quality Control, and Chemistry Lab teams. You will be leading the creation, training and implementation of supporting processes and systems, and technical and leadership development of Team Members.

 

Responsibilities

• Establishing clear goals and challenging timelines for all yield, process, equipment, and integration concerns.

• Develop the strategic vision for the QEM department and allocate resources as needed to accomplish that vision.

• Manage all staffing, training, and technical development of teams.

• Collaborate with PEE, PIE, and TD teams to meet the needs of all new parts, equipment and process changes.     

• Co-work with external stakeholders such as PE/GQ to secure Micron product quality best.

• Oversee career development of all QEM personnel through the area leadership and ensure succession plans for all key department positions.

• Monitor Fab scrap and excursion reduction efforts to ensure they are implemented and successful.

• Oversee all audit activities for both internal and external customers.

• Develop challenging performance targets and ensure Line of Sight is communicated to individual contributors.

 

Education Required

Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience

•Engineering

•Related field of study

 

Experience Desired

>3 years experience in any of the following:

•Demonstrated success as an M1 and M2 (Positions that lead and motivate work units to accomplish of business objectives, e.g. Corporate Function or Sub Function Manager, Site Function or Sub Function Manager, Section Manager, Regional Manager, General Manager, etc.)

 

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage multiple complex, and potentially global, projects.

• Thorough knowledge of the QEM team structure, standards and processes.

• Proven ability to define and implement key components of effective leadership and an effective team training program.

• Proven ability to set, measure and achieve short and long range goals.

• Demonstrated capability in proactively prioritizing projects that meet the Fab goal of shipping more die and decreasing die costs.

• Advanced and thorough understanding of the Si process, especially DRAM.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

• Strong data analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
